Never replicate this! We must fix this before '98' that have survived into the shipped game and Thief 2.

Warren Spector, the designer credited with shaping the immersive sim genre through Ultima Underworld, Thief, System Shock and Deus Ex, has announced his retirement from game development via a LinkedIn post, saying he is roughly a month away from his 44th year as a developer and that the industry has become less fun for him. He will turn to writing, lecturing and piano.
