Xbox Reveals 'Designed for Xbox' 25th Anniversary Hardware Lineup, Including Anniversary Razer, 8BitDo, Backbone, PowerA and GameSir Products

Microsoft is opening pre-orders for the Designed for Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection, a coordinated hardware lineup announced through Xbox Wire by editor-in-chief Joe Skrebels that pairs nostalgic translucent green surfaces with anniversary detailing across mice, keyboards, earbuds, controllers, mobile pads, charging docks and a sling bag.

The lineup is built around Xbox's official Designed for Xbox program and brings together Razer, 8BitDo, Backbone, PowerA and GameSir, all themed in the translucent green that defined the original 2001 Xbox. Microsoft has not announced a unified launch date, but every partner is currently listing the products for pre-order on its own storefront.

On the PC side, Razer leads with three peripherals. The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K XBOX 25 Anniversary Edition is a wireless ergonomic RGB gaming mouse with what Razer describes as up to 140 hours of battery life, a 4-way scroll wheel and the Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2. The Razer BlackWidow V4 75% XBOX 25 Anniversary Edition is a compact, hot-swappable mechanical keyboard with Razer Chroma RGB and a dedicated XBOX key that automatically opens the Xbox Game Bar. The Razer Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed XBOX 25 Anniversary Edition are wireless, multi-platform earbuds with 2.4 GHz HyperSpeed and Bluetooth 5.3, up to 35 hours of total battery life and USB-C passthrough charging.

Backbone is contributing the Backbone Pro XBOX 25th Anniversary Edition, a collectible version of its mobile controller that uses a blind-box format across three heritage colorways: Iconic Blue, Bold Orange and Crystal Clear. PowerA is offering the PowerA XBOX Sling Bag, a crossbody bag cut for the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X with padded device storage, thumbstick protectors, breathable mesh backing and four organization compartments.

Two products target Xbox controllers directly. 8BitDo is releasing the Ultimate Charging Dock for Xbox Controllers X25 Special Edition, which combines the translucent green aesthetic with dock charging for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One wireless pads, while GameSir is shipping the GameSir X5 Lite for Xbox, a translucent-green, officially licensed mobile controller with Apple MFi certification and broad iOS and Android compatibility.

Every product is being sold through its partner's own storefront rather than the Microsoft Store. The Xbox Wire announcement links Razer, Backbone, PowerA and GameSir pre-order pages on each manufacturer's site, and the 8BitDo dock is sold through 8BitDo's own shop. Microsoft frames the collection as part of its broader 25th anniversary celebrations running through this year, alongside the official Xbox Gear merchandise store, the community-designed gamerpics and themes, and the international Xbox FanFest tour revealed earlier this month.

Pricing has not been disclosed in the Xbox Wire post, and exact availability windows are expected to vary by partner. Microsoft and Xbox have not yet announced a unified shipping date for the collection.
