Xbox Reveals 25th-Anniversary Gear Store, Full FanFest Tour Dates and Community-Designed Profile Themes
Microsoft has rolled out a fresh cluster of official Xbox 25th-anniversary celebrations: a new Xbox Gear merchandise store opening today, community-made gamerpics and themes, a free 25th-anniversary profile badge, curated Game Pass anniversary collections, and the full international FanFest tour schedule through November.

Microsoft is using the run-up to Xbox's November 15, 2026 anniversary to launch a coordinated wave of fan-facing programmes, from a permanent Xbox Gear storefront to the full international FanFest Tour schedule and a curated anniversary lineup on Game Pass.
The details were published on the official Xbox Wire today at 17:00 UTC and accompany the launch of gear.xbox.com, Microsoft's new permanent home for first-party Xbox-branded apparel and accessories. Three collections are live at launch — Gloss, Est.01, and Blood Gulch — alongside signature pieces such as the 25 Years of Play Tee at $34.99 USD, with additional drops already planned for the coming months.
Community-designed gamerpics and themes, made by creators Klobrille and Ben Kenobi, are also rolling out today across Xbox consoles and the Xbox app on PC. Players can apply them through Settings › Profile › Customize profile on console, or via View Profile on the Xbox app. The company is encouraging fans to share their own creations using #XBOX25 on social media.
A new Xbox 25th Anniversary profile badge has begun appearing today for players who sign in to their Microsoft account on console, PC, or the Xbox mobile app. The badge is available through the end of 2026 and is described by Microsoft as a way to mark the milestone on Xbox Live.
Xbox Game Pass is also getting a curated anniversary treatment this week. Microsoft says the collections will gather landmark titles from each console generation — including Fable Anniversary, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Fallout 4, and Psychonauts 2 — playable on console and/or PC, designed to reintroduce first-party classics spanning the original Xbox through the current Xbox Series X|S era.
The Xbox FanFest Tour, which started in Los Angeles at the Xbox Games Showcase and stops in Cologne at gamescom on August 26, now has its full international schedule locked:
- Cologne, Germany — August 26, at gamescom
- Tokyo, Japan — September 17, during Tokyo Game Show
- London, U.K. — September 26
- Mexico City, Mexico — October 17
- Sydney, Australia — October 17
- Toronto, Canada — November 6
- Seattle, U.S. — additional details coming soon
Microsoft says tickets for every stop will be handed out through city-specific sweepstakes available on the official Xbox.com FanFest page, rather than sold directly.
Xbox's 25th anniversary falls on November 15, 2026, with Microsoft framing the year-long slate of programmes — Gear, community designs, curated Game Pass collections, and the FanFest tour — as a single connected celebration of "the joy of play."
