The Blood of Dawnwalker Launches Today on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC After Four Years of Development

Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco Entertainment have released The Blood of Dawnwalker on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The dark-fantasy open-world action RPG, set in the Carpathian-inspired region of Vale Sangora, is the Polish studio's debut title and the first chapter of a planned Dawnwalker saga.

Game director and Rebel Wolves co-founder Konrad Tomaszkiewicz confirmed the launch in a statement issued alongside the Bandai Namco release notice, describing the title as the product of "four years" of work by a team that has grown to roughly 160 developers. The story follows Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker — a being who is human by day and a vampire by night, carrying the strengths and weaknesses of both forms. A signature day-and-night system dictates how players interact with Vale Sangora, with narrative and combat options shifting between the two states.

Officially announced in 2024, the game lands four years after development began and features a 60 FPS Performance Mode on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X. Rebel Wolves added that mode in August after a public backlash against an earlier 40 FPS cap, and the change is reflected in the version that ships today. The studio has also confirmed that DLSS 5 support is planned for the PC release, following the technology's reveal earlier this week.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is available now on Bandai Namco Entertainment's official product page and is featured in the publisher's launch announcement at the Bandai Namco Europe newsroom. Pre-release coverage of the 60 FPS reversal is available on Rebel Wolves' official channels.
