Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Crown Mighty Kingambit as the Closing 7-Star Tera Raid of the August Paldea Power Play Series

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet have rolled out the fourth and final entry of their August Paldea Power Play event series, putting a 7-Star Tera Raid Battle against a Dark-Tera Kingambit live across the games. The event runs from August 28, 2026 at 00:00 UTC through September 3, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, with a coordinated mass outbreak of Pawniard, Bisharp and Kingambit in Paldea and Kitakami.

The Mighty Kingambit Tera Raid event is the ninety-second limited-time 7-Star raid in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and is the closer in the four-part August series that began with Mighty Glimmora (August 7–13), continued with Mighty Annihilape (August 14–20) and Mighty Farigiraf (August 21–27). The Kingambit appearing in black crystal Tera Raid dens during the event has the Dark Tera Type and the rare Mightiest Mark, and can be caught only once per save file. Trainers who have already caught the featured Kingambit can still queue into the raid for rewards. The Pokémon joins the official "Paldea Power Play" series, which Nintendo and The Pokémon Company tied into this week's 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco.

In parallel with the 7-Star raids, mass outbreaks featuring Pawniard, Bisharp and Kingambit are running across the Paldea region and the land of Kitakami. Pokémon encountered during these outbreaks have an increased chance of carrying the Charismatic Mark, alongside the usual boosted odds of Shiny encounters. The combination gives trainers a week to grind for rare-mark Kingambit and its lower-stage line members ahead of the next ranked battle season.

To participate, trainers need the latest game data and the latest Poké Portal News, which can be downloaded through the Mystery Gift menu. As with previous Paldea Power Play raids, the event is available globally on a single time window and the official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet news page advises trainers that the Tera Raid events only take place in the Paldea region.
