Mortal Shell II Enters Advanced Access Ahead of August 20 Launch

Mortal Shell II is now playable through Advanced Access.

The Devout Edition of Cold Symmetry and Playstack’s Soulslike sequel is available worldwide for pre-order customers. The full launch follows on August 20, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The Devout Edition includes the base game and eight Obsidian skins for the playable Shells. Buyers also receive up to 72 hours of early access, allowing them to enter the game ahead of the standard release.

Playstack and Cold Symmetry have also released the official launch trailer. It highlights the game’s brutal combat, possessed warrior Shells, and dark world shaped by false gods.

Mortal Shell II expands on the original with a connected open-world area, more flexible combat, deeper weapon upgrades, and different Shells with unique abilities. The developers describe the world as compact but filled with optional paths, secrets, and rewards.

The open beta has already surpassed one million downloads across Steam and consoles. The full release arrives on August 20.
