Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault Version 1.0 Launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC Today

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault leaves Early Access today, September 2, 2026, with publisher 11 bit studios and developer Digital Sun releasing the full version 1.0 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, and PC via the Microsoft Store. The console editions mark the series' first appearance on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, and the launch also brings the game to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on day one.

Version 1.0 closes out the Early Access run that began on Steam in November 2025. The release adds the conclusion of the main story, new weapons and armor, and a new combat ability called Bomb Path that makes enemies detonate after taking enough hits, damaging nearby foes. Will's shop reaches its final upgrade level, unlocking additional Bloblet slots and new cosmetics so that the village of Tresna can be customized further. Two endgame hooks round out the package: the Infinite Endless Vault, a postgame gauntlet of escalating, gold-filled runs for players who want to keep pushing their builds, and Hardcore mode, which sends the player back to the very beginning of the dungeon run on a single death.

Digital Sun has framed the launch as a continuation of the studio's first title, the 2018 original Moonlighter, which 11 bit studios also published. A free playable demo is already available across all five launch platforms, and the developer has shared a Release Time Map so that players in different regions know exactly when the 1.0 client unlocks on their storefront of choice.

Moonlighter 2 carries a US MSRP of $29.99 on Steam and on the Nintendo eShop, with a regional price of around £24.99 in the UK. The Switch 2 build is distributed digitally and requires roughly 6.2 GB of storage, according to the official Nintendo store listing. A physical edition from Silver Lining Interactive is planned for November 13, 2026, on PS5, Switch 2 and PC, with a collector's edition that includes a digital art book, postcards, three patches, a poster, a holo sticker, diorama sticker sheets and a metal coin charm.

Players who claimed the original Moonlighter for free on Steam during 11 bit studios' August promotion already own the predecessor. The September 2 release is a paid sequel for everyone else, and existing Early Access owners on Steam receive the 1.0 client as a free update rather than a second purchase.

For Gameflash readers, the takeaway is simple: the action-RPG shopkeeping hybrid that made the original a cult hit now has a complete main campaign on every current-generation platform, with Game Pass included. Anyone looking for a shorter, repeatable roguelite loop can start with the demo before committing to the full version.

For full details, pricing and supported languages, see the Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault listing on the official Nintendo eShop and the Moonlighter 2 page on Steam. The publisher's broader 2025 financial summary, which also covers Moonlighter 2's Early Access run and other 2025 launches, is published on the 11 bit studios investor relations site.
