Marvel's Wolverine Features Trailer Details Logan's Combat, Rage, and Nightmare Cabin Ahead of September 15 Launch
Insomniac Games and PlayStation drop a fresh Features Trailer for Marvel's Wolverine, narrated by Liam McIntyre, breaking down Techniques, Special Techniques, the three-tier Rage system, suits inspired by Weapon X and Old Man Logan, the Nightmare Cabin hub, and 100-plus accessibility options ahead of the September 15 PS5 launch.

Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment have published a new Features Trailer for Marvel's Wolverine, narrated by James "Logan" Howlett voice actor Liam McIntyre, breaking down the combat, exploration, and post-launch features players will find on PlayStation 5 when the game ships on September 15, 2026.
In an official PlayStation Blog post published on August 28, Senior Community Manager Aaron Jason Espinoza walks through the systems showcased in the trailer. Marvel's Wolverine is built around fast, fluid, and ferocious close-quarters combat. Players can string together Techniques for enhanced standard moves and equip four rechargeable Special Techniques at once, with named examples including Tornado Spin, Knee Breaker, and Spiral Strike. On top of that, Adaptations let players amplify Logan's momentum — absorbing more bullets, widening parry windows, or leaning into mid-fight aggression. Rage itself is a three-tiered pool that escalates from survivability and resilience into full berserker fury, sustaining itself the more brutal the combat gets.
The story places Logan alongside Jean Grey and Team X against Bolivar Trask, with the wider rogue's gallery including Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike, The Reavers, and The Hand. The trailer also confirms that the game is set on Earth-1048, sharing continuity with Insomniac's Marvel's Spider-Man series.
Outside of combat, Insomniac is leaning into exploration: Logan's senses can pick out Nightmare Doors for combat and traversal challenges, hidden whisky bottles unlock forgotten memories, and material crates feed a suit-crafting system that draws from across Wolverine history, including Weapon X, Old Man Logan, Ultimate Wolverine, and Patch looks, alongside Insomniac's original Battle Reborn design. New claws — bone, notched, curved, reflective, and angled — round out the cosmetics, and players can toggle cowls and hats on or off.
Logan's Nightmare Cabin serves as the in-game hub at launch, hosting New Game Plus with exclusive Techniques and level caps, Mission Replay for story snippets, score-attack Nightmare Challenges, and Photo Mode (added via a day-one update). Insomniac also confirms more than 100 new, returning, and improved accessibility features drawn from its earlier games, including High Contrast visuals, English audio description, Global Game Speed, and Strong Haptic Signals. New toggle categories for violence and adult language let players dial dynamic blood, dismemberment, and profanity up or down.
The full Features Trailer is hosted on Insomniac's YouTube channel, and pre-orders for the Standard and Digital Deluxe editions are live on the PlayStation Store ahead of the September 15 release.
