Marvel Rivals Season 10: Gorr the God Butcher Joins the Roster on September 11 in 'Butcher's Blasphemy'
NetEase Games and Marvel Games confirmed Gorr the God Butcher as a free Duelist for Marvel Rivals Season 10: Butcher's Blasphemy, arriving September 11 (UTC), alongside a new Domination map and the biggest balance pass the shooter has seen so far.

NetEase Games and Marvel Games have officially confirmed that Gorr the God Butcher will join the Marvel Rivals roster as the headlining new hero of Season 10: Butcher's Blasphemy, which launches worldwide on September 11, 2026 (UTC). The reveal was published today in the studio's Dev Vision Vol. 21 developer diary, with Creative Director Guangguang and Lead Combat Designer Zhiyong walking through the new Duelist's kit, the season's narrative hook, and a sweeping balance overhaul.
Gorr is being added as a melee-centric Duelist who fights with the All-Black Necrosword, and he arrives as a day-one free unlock when Season 10 goes live. According to the developers, the Necrosword will define his core loop: slower but heavier cleaves compared to existing duelists, the ability to summon Black Berserkers as semi-sentient allies, and movement options that let him close distance quickly against backline targets. Zhiyong framed his design as a poke DPS–Vanguard hybrid aimed at players who want to pressure objectives without fully committing to a frontline tank.
Season 10's narrative centers on Gorr's plan to wipe out divine beings across the multiverse by detonating the God Bomb at an ancient graveyard outside of space and time. That storyline sets up the new Domination map, God Quarry, which is scheduled to go live on September 24. The official Season 10 Dev Vision page notes that the season is a single-hero update, with the studio redirecting team bandwidth toward the upcoming Path to Doomsday event modes arriving in the mid-season 10.5 update.
Alongside the hero, NetEase is shipping what it describes as the largest balance patch in Marvel Rivals history. Roughly 70% of the active roster will receive adjustments, and the ranked draft system is being overhauled to replace simultaneous double-bans with turn-based team voting. The Galacta's Gift event returns with daily match missions, a free Costume Coin redeemable in a refreshed event shop, and an in-game teaser that briefly disabled Loki from Quick Play and drained the color palette from the Yggsgard map to tease Gorr's crusade against the gods.
The full Season 10 reveal, including kit breakdowns and balance details, is now live on the official Marvel Rivals Dev Vision Vol. 21 page, with the Gorr character reveal trailer streaming on the official Marvel Rivals YouTube channel.
