Nintendo has confirmed that Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17, 2026. The release date was revealed alongside a new Direct presentation focused on the game’s campaign, tactical systems, and cast of heroes.

Fortune’s Weave is built around the Heroic Games, a tournament in which warriors compete for a wish. Nintendo’s official game page describes a story set across the Dagdan Empire, with players following four heroes through strategic, turn-based battles. The new presentation runs for roughly 20 minutes and provides the clearest look yet at how the game combines a central competition with a larger fantasy narrative.

The structure marks a notable shift for the series. Rather than presenting its story solely as a conventional military campaign, Fortune’s Weave puts an arena tournament and its competing champions at the center of the plot.
