Bandai Namco has rolled out a new maintenance update for Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO on September 4, 2026. The patch is dated September 3 and went live at 8:00 UTC on September 4, following a 10-minute maintenance window that ran from 7:50 to 9:00 UTC. It targets PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and ships as version 3022.021.003.012.015.

The update is light on content but ships two notable fixes. Under "General Adjustments," the CPU behavior has been tuned — Bandai Namco does not go into detail on the change in the official notes, but the patch typically covers how AI-controlled characters select targets, manage resources and execute combos. In the Game Mode Adjustments, the studio repairs a specific bug in Episode Battle where certain trophies would not be displayed after meeting the required conditions inside Jiren's Episode Battle. A broader "Other" line confirms that overall game stability has been improved.

Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO launched in October 2024 as the latest arena-fighter entry in the long-running Budokai Tenkaichi-style Sparking! sub-series from Bandai Namco.
