Arknights: Endfield 'Dreamscape of Wind and Snow' Version 1.5 Goes Live on September 2, Headlined by Typhoeus and a Nordic Folk-Electronic Score

GRYPHLINE's Version 1.5 update for Arknights: Endfield launches September 2, 2026 on PS5, PC, iOS and Android, sending the Endministrator into the supernatural Snowy Forest, adding 6-star Nature Striker Typhoeus from the original Arknights, and pairing the soundtrack with Finnish musician Vilma Jää ahead of a September 24 Suiming expansion.

Arknights: Endfield 'Dreamscape of Wind and Snow' Version 1.5 Goes Live on September 2, Headlined by Typhoeus and a Nordic Folk-Electronic Score

Arknights: Endfield's Version 1.5 update, titled "Dreamscape of Wind and Snow," goes live today, September 2, 2026, across PlayStation 5, PC, iOS and Android, publisher GRYPHLINE has confirmed. The headline is the arrival of Typhoeus, a 6-star Nature Striker who previously appeared in the original Arknights, and the opening of the Snowy Forest, a supernatural new region built around Sami folklore, snow-stepping that visibly accumulates on characters, and a regional boss called Gloomwald's Rage.

In a press release following the studio's Version Preview livestream, Mountain Contour co-founder and game producer Light Zhong framed v1.5 as a continuation of the post-launch roadmap rather than a one-shot story beat: "Seeing that you're enjoying the current content and looking forward to the journey ahead is our greatest encouragement. Moving forward, we will continue to develop, optimize and bring more new stories, gameplay and content worth exploring so that we live up to your trust and expectations." The release date was first locked during that August 21 stream and the studio has stuck to it since.

The update's combat identity hinges on Typhoeus. She fights with a bow as tall as she is, can leap into the air to fire on multiple targets and evade ground-based attacks, and deploys a Barrage Array that slows enemies inside its radius, layering aerial mobility, traps and concentrated Nature Burst damage into a single kit. For players who have been leaning on physical damage since launch, a dedicated Nature burst carry is a meaningful addition rather than a sidegrade. The version also introduces new Arsenal Issue banners for the 6-star weapons Umbra of Frigid Eventide and Artzy Tyrannical, with the Artzy Tyrannical banner debuting a new RE-Factor Issue format, and adds the Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor Headhunting banner for 6-star operator Yvonne, opening September 24.

A second map, Suiming, follows on September 24 as a puzzle-exploration city built around a repeating time loop: each time the Blight Tide rises, time rewinds, but collected parts are retained so environmental clues and fragments of the city's past can build across runs. Alongside Suiming, the Purrchena Tribute Event hands players the 5-star Physical Defender Purrchena and her recommended 5-star weapon Dessert Moment for free, provided they complete its six event missions.

The most unexpected move is the soundtrack. GRYPHLINE has paired with Finnish electronic musician Vilma Jää, best known for her work on Remedy's Control Resonant, to produce a Nordic folk-electronic theme for the Snowy Forest that draws on Sámi musical culture and weaves it into JRPG, otherworldly-fantasy and electronic production elements. It is a striking tonal shift from the synthesised sci-fi sound Endfield has run with so far, and follows the v1.4 "Homecoming" update's collaboration with Crywolf on a post-apocalyptic lullaby boss theme.

Dreamscape of Wind and Snow is available today as a free update on the official GRYPHLINE Endfield launcher, the PlayStation Store, the Epic Games Store, the App Store and Google Play. Players can already wishlist the title on Steam ahead of the PC storefront launch, which GRYPHLINE has confirmed is coming soon. Supporting content, including Trial of the Bow, Chubby Lung Attacks, Runners' Steeplechase, new Echoes of War seasons and player-experience improvements, will roll out across the version's full lifecycle, with staggered events running well into mid-October.
