007 First Light Crosses 4 Million Copies Sold in Three Months as IO Interactive's Fastest-Selling Game

IO Interactive has confirmed that 007 First Light, the studio's James Bond origin story, has now sold more than four million copies worldwide. The milestone comes roughly three months after the game's launch and cements the title as IO Interactive's fastest-selling release to date.

The four-million figure was announced today through IO Interactive's official channels, with the studio framing the number as proof that audiences are ready for a new take on Bond's early career. The studio's statement notes that the milestone covers both physical and digital sales across all platforms the game currently ships on, including the Switch 2 version that is still confirmed for a future release window.

007 First Light launched to a strong critical reception in May and previously crossed 1.5 million sales in its first 24 hours and roughly 3 million copies by mid-June. Today's announcement puts the total comfortably past the four-million mark and ranks the title among the larger 2026 releases so far, alongside IO Interactive's previous Hitman World of Assassination numbers.

The studio has not yet announced a concrete Switch 2 launch date, but today's update repeats that the Nintendo version remains in development and is still on the way, alongside any post-launch content updates for the existing platforms.
